Southwest Regional Wound Care Center was founded by Dr. Randall Wolcott over 20 years ago.  Since that time we have been fortunate to treat and heal patients’ wounds in the West Texas region through aggressive biofilm based wound care.

Dr. Randall Wolcott has proudly announced new family ownership of the Southwest Regional Wound Care Center by his nephew Dr. Joseph Wolcott.

Dr. Joseph Wolcott is board certified in Internal Medicine and a Certified Wound Specialist Physician by the American Board of Wound Management.  Dr. Joseph Wolcott has trained with Dr. Randall Wolcott for the past 10 years and will continue on his legacy and biofilm based wound management therapies.

Dr. Randall Wolcott has decided after 20 years to take a step back and focus more on research in the field of biofilm.  He will continue to provide referring physicians with EMG/NCS electrodiagnostic services.  He also plans to enjoy free time with his 16 grandchildren.

Dr. Joseph Wolcott has decided to devote his full time to continue to deliver the best wound care in the region.  Our wound care staff will continue to provide excellent patient care with all the same staff and facilities.

As the specialty of wound care grows rapidly; we strive to grow with it.  Our hearts are in healing.

A Message From Our Doctor

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. The Southwest Regional Wound Care Center is the only freestanding wound care center that is dedicated to helping each patient heal their wounds, no matter what it takes. To accomplish this goal, we have had to become very innovative, and although it has stretched us, it has been a very exciting time.

Our clinic, along with Medical Biofilm Research Institute (MBRi), has produced some of the most important and pioneering research in wound care over the last decade. What this means for the individual patient is that if they decide to let us help them with their wounds, they will know that we care and that they will receive state-of-the-art wound care in conjunction with traditional wound care treatments. Our scientists have developed molecular diagnostics that are now being used by physicians around the country and, in fact, around the world. These new diagnostic techniques have opened up exciting new therapeutic options, which are showing incredible initial results.

All this activity is founded on our core belief that the patient and his or her needs are our most important responsibility. Please browse our web site. For videos, please visit the SWR Wound Care Center YouTube channel. Any feedback in the way of questions or comments is highly valued, so please let us know what you think.
